This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how Wikiescrow® (the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects and uses data in connection with the Wikiescrow web app (wikiescrow.org) and mobile app. Your use of the Services is subject to this Policy as well as our Terms of Service.

Data We Collect

At the Company, privacy is at the heart of all we do. Additionally, we have made transparency one of our core company values. As a result, we strive to be open about the scant information we do gather. We don't keep track of user accounts or gather and store personal information like names or IP addresses. We only gather information about you such as;

  • Publicly-available blockchain data. We gather and log your publicly-available blockchain address in order to better understand how you use them and to check your wallet for any history of illegal behavior. We examine your wallet utilizing data from top blockchain analytics vendors. Notably, blockchain addresses are publicly accessible data that were not generated or allocated by us or any other central authority and are not, in and of themselves, used to individually identify anyone.

In order to deliver and customize the Services and it's features for you across sessions, we and our third-party service providers may access and gather data from cookies, web beacons, and other related technologies. To enhance the user experience of our product, we aggregate these user journeys then group and analyze them.

We do not share your information with any third parties for any marketing purposes whatsoever. We may share or disclose the data we collect:

  • With service providers. To help us provide, deliver, and improve the Services, we might share your information with our vendors and service partners. For instance, in order to provide technical infrastructure services, we may share your wallet address with companies like Infura and Cloudflare. Additionally, in order to detect, prevent, and mitigate financial crime and other illegal or harmful activities, we may share your wallet address with blockchain analytics companies.

Security

To assist secure data from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, we install and maintain reasonable administrative, physical, and technical security precautions. However, information about you cannot be entirely guaranteed to be secure during transmission via the internet. You are accountable for all of your behavior on the Services, including the security of your cryptocurrency wallets, blockchain network addresses, and cryptographic keys.


Age Requirements

Children are not the target audience for the Services, which are designed for a wide audience. According to the Children's Privacy Protection Act of the United States, or "COPPA," we never knowingly acquire personal information from children. Additional Notice to California Residents (“CCPA Notice”)

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) requires certain businesses to provide a CCPA Notice to California residents to explain how we collect, use, and share their personal information, and the rights and choices we offer California residents regarding our handling of their information.

  • Privacy practice: We don't "sell" personal information in the sense that the CCPA defines it. For more information on the types of parties we share information with, please refer to the "How We Share Data" section above.

  • Privacy rights: Individuals have the right to inquire about the ways in which we have obtained, used, and disclosed their personal information under the CCPA. Additionally, it provides you the authority to ask for a copy of any data we may have about you. Additionally, you have the option to request that we erase any personal data we may hold about you. Please be aware that the CCPA places restrictions on these rights, preventing us from responding to access requests with some sensitive information and restricting the circumstances in which we must honor deletion requests. Only insofar as we can reasonably attempt to link the identifying information you submit in your request with the information we maintain will we heed your requests for information, access, and deletion. If we choose not to grant your request, we will let you know. You have the right to exercise the rights listed above without facing any prejudice.

  • Submitting a Request: You can submit a request for information, access, or deletion to support@wikiescrow.org.

  • Identity Verification: Prior to making a meaningful answer, the CCPA requires us to gather and confirm the identity of any person making a request to access or delete personal information.

  • Authorized agents: Residents of California may choose a "approved agent" to make requests on their behalf. We will need a formal authorization from the authorized agent confirming their status.

Disclosures for European Union Data Subjects

For the reasons outlined in the section above labeled "How We Use Data," we process personal data. Our legal bases for processing your data are as follows: (i) your consent; (ii) the performance of a contract with you; (iii) the need to comply with a legal requirement; and/or (iv) the need to process for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us or a third party, provided that your interests and fundamental freedoms are not outweighed by those of the processing party.

You have the right to (i) request access to and a copy of your personal data, (ii) request it's correction or erasure, (iii) object to or limit the processing of your personal data, and (iv) request portability of your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). You can also decide not to participate in our collection at any moment. However, we are unable to change or remove data that has been saved on a certain blockchain. We have no control over information like your transactional data, blockchain wallet address, or assets held by your address that may be connected to the data we collect.

Please be aware that we reserve the right to keep information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and that we may do so even after a data subject requests that we no longer do so.
